Palo Alto Networks seeks a communications specialist to focus on the EMEA region, who will be part of the regional communications team, and report to the director, corporate communications for EMEA.

EMEA is a vibrant and complex region for business communications, and requires deep understanding of local customs, cultures, messaging techniques and modes of doing business.

The communications specialist will be responsible for driving and executing media and analyst relations programmes for Palo Alto Networks in the region, as well as supporting customer reference activities.

You will work with the Americas and APJ PR teams, Global customer references team, EMEA Marketing and Sales organisations among others.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the EMEA Corporate Communications team to:

  • Plan, execute and manage day-to-day media and analyst relations activities in the region

  • Drive and manage PR quarterly thought leadership and creative ideas

  • Write, edit, review and maintain status/drive progress of regional and local press releases, media alerts, FAQs and briefing documents, including driving review and approval of partner content

  • Manage and support media and analyst engagements

  • Work with regional agencies as well as PR leads (across different time zones) to develop compelling stories and narratives aligned to key milestones

  • Develop and publish monthly coverage reports and flag timely coverage to internal stakeholders

  • Support the Global Customer reference team and EMEA Corporate Communications to:

  • Manage reference requests and coordinate development of local reference activities

  • Amplify customer success stories and assets through media and analyst relations outreach

Your background and skills will include

  • 5+ years’ experience of managing public relations and analyst relations programme in EMEA either in-house or agency

  • Strong grasp of European media and analyst landscape

  • Ability to understand the customer story and journey and the impact they bring to the organisation

  • Strong communicator with outstanding writing, communication and editing skills, verbal and presentation skills

  • Demonstrate a track record of driving and reporting results

  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced team environment and project manage multiple deadline-driven initiatives

  • Willingness and ability to think beyond traditional PR tactics and strategies to design/execute innovative approaches

  • Ability to process a vast amount of information and understand and prioritise competing business needs; ability to quickly locate, dissect and relay key information

  • A 'can-do' personality who can participate and lead efforts across disciplines and functions

  • Familiarity with a range of social media tools is a plus

  • Experience working with a technology company is a plus, but not required

  • Ability to travel up to 10%
